Day 28 ~ Weigh in

I LOST 3.8 lbs!!!  Yahoo... I have lost a total of 7lbs 1oz in 4 weeks! Still positive and focused!  Look out Erica, you are going to have to pay up on that new outfit very soon!

New catch phrase with regards to shopping!

I know, we all LOVE to shop (especially Sarah, Erica, Megan, Rifka & Lori ), here's a phrase I just heard that made me laugh... it is referred to as a form of retail therapy known as:     SIS (Size Independent Shopping), which as any girl knows encompasses things/items that ALWAYS FITS... purses, sunglasses, shawls, earrings, diamonds, footwear, beauty supplies, and make-up, all of which will be stylish and chic regardless of our size!

Funny coincidence...my brothers all call me SIS...do they know something I don't?  No time to ponder the question...I am heading to the mall!

I am finding this new lifestyle to be life altering.  I am embracing each day with new resolve and strength.  I feel as though I am enjoying a form of sobriety.  My mind is less cluttered and my attitude positive, focused, enthused and strong...I HAVE TAKEN THAT FIRST DIFFICULT STEP...I AM IN MOTION! Heavy stuff yet thought provoking! Success is a great healer!!

Support, Friendship & Weight Loss

Here is another long blog about weight loss...so if you don't want to read it skip it...

I spoke with one of my dearest friends last night about my new "lifestyle change" and it reiterated to me how essential it is to have a support system throughout my journey.  She is also at the point that I was 3+ weeks ago...disgusted, depressed and frustrated about her inability to "conquer the monster". 

Day 21 - Weigh in

Lost 2 oz...yes 2oz!  No bad considering I was on vacation!!!  Time to refocus!

I survived Spring Break 2006

I did it!!! I survived Las Vegas with 4 teenagers for 5 days.   My brother Zach joined us on Thursday, so it was sort of like having 5 teenagers...

We rented a home off the strip...a smart move with teenagers!  I could just image staying in a hotel on the strip, having to have 3 separate rooms...we would have absolutely no control!

Day 14..

Yahooo...I lost 1lb!  I was hoping for 2lbs, but I am happy with this! 

Day 7 - Weigh in!

I LOST 2.1 pounds!!!!!  My goal was 2.2...not too shabby!!!  I spent 3 of the 7 days in Los Angeles visiting Rifka...I was a really good girl!  Very excited and motivated to continue.  I am now on 2 protein shakes a day and one meal...still no sugar, flour, starch.  I even attended a baby shower that was a tea and passed on the scones, tea sandwiches and cake!  Huge for me!!!  Thank god they served some celery, carrots and fruit kabobs.  Now I start week two...
